Restore/Repurpose vintage gowns

There are times when a bride would like a piece of her family history intertwined into her magical wedding day. Using a vintage wedding dress or bridal gown from a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, or any other part of your family or close circle of friends can add a nostalgic feeling to the gown that is priceless.

At our atelier we have become accustomed to visits from brides that love the idea of their mother’s or grandmother’s bridal gown, but are not completely in love with the style. It may be a sizing issue, or a style issue, but in either case we can help! We can redesign, modernize and add your own personality to a heirloom piece.

The process it’s similar to our bespoke process, it starts with a visit where we can look at the heirloom piece you are considering to use and we can have an informal conversation to discover your taste and personality. Then we will be able to discuss all the possibilities to redesign your heirloom piece. If necessary we will sketch out some options, so you can visualize the outcome we are envisioning.

We also can redesign or recreate your recent wedding dress, here is a few options:

Shorten and simplify your wedding dress to be worn on First Year Anniversary or Vow Renewal { It’s an awesome idea }

Make a Christening Gown for your newborn or a lovely Communion Dress for your daughter.

Make a couture blanket to gift your godchild!

Redesign it into a cocktail dress to be worn more often, perhaps a romantic cruise!

Dye it into a different color. We have mastered awesome techniques like dip dying, and many others.
