Welcome back to another installment of “Intern Style!” This weeks shoot was styled by Janaina Carr and features a beautiful high-low style gown created by our boss lady, Priscilla Costa. This gown is super unique and can be customized to any bride’s personal style. With a sweetheart top, pleated front, and draped train, it truly is a showstopper. This gown gets even better though because it has pockets! The Priscilla Costa Bridal team has deemed pockets a necessity for any bride who needs her phone to snap selfies or lipstick to re-apply throughout her big day.
The ever talented, Janaina Carr, styled not one, not two, but three looks for this beauty of a gown. She chose this dress because of how “wearable” it is. Janaina says, “the bride can dance, relax, and have fun in this dress.” Her first look features ivory/gold lace sewn together with beading to create a floral belt. She also created a choker to match. Janaina is so on trend with the choker, as so many bridal runway shows have featured chokers this bridal season! The accessories Janaina created are just stunning; she says that her favorite part of her internship is handcrafting embellishments for the garments, just as she did for this photoshoot!
Janaina’s next look features another floral belt and matching choker, this time using maroon lace. While similar in style to the first, this color combo gives the dress a completely different look! Currently Janaina attends The Art Institute of Philadelphia. When asked what she has learned during her time at Priscilla Costa Bridal she says, “I have been able to see first hand how a sole proprietorship business can thrive, and how to work with clients in a professional atmosphere.” Janaina continues on to say, “Priscilla is a very kind and gifted person, by working with her I have had a complete learning experience.”
Lastly, Janaina styled a third look featuring the belt from her first look and a gold, lace, overlay crop top created by Priscilla Costa. Janaina gushes, “I love wedding dresses, they give the feeling of a magic moment. I love the bride’s reaction when the garment is completely finished, and how sincerely happy she is!”
Our lovely model, Megan (also a design intern), expertly models just how versatile this dress can be! Whether the wedding is indoor or outdoor, during the day or at night, in the heat of the summer or in depths of the winter, this dress can be completely customized for any occasion at Priscilla Costa Bridal!
