Many of us dream of our perfect wedding day but how many of us dream of celebrating for four whole days? Michelle O’Malley shows us how it’s done.

Michelle grew up in the Greater Philadelphia Area and works as a physician assistant at a local hospital outside of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where she and her new husband reside. The wedding festivities were held over the course of four days. It was important to Michelle and her husband, Samir Shahani, to honor both of their cultural traditions.

The pair celebrated with a Hindu ceremony and luncheon followed by a Western ceremony and reception the following day. Michelle and Samir celebrated their Western wedding ceremony at ArtsQuest SteelStacks, a large industrial and rustic venue, in Bethlehem, PA. The gorgeous photos of the beautiful day were taken by Wesley Works Photography.

“When I started searching for my wedding dress I wasn’t certain that I wanted a custom gown, but I did know exactly how I wanted to look on my wedding day.” And that’s what lead Michelle to Priscilla Costa Bridal. With a quick Google search, Michelle found our website and liked what she saw.
Michelle described to Priscilla how she wanted to look on her wedding day, with inspirations from Kate Middleton and Victoria Beckham. Through conversation and a shared Pinterest inspiration board, Priscilla whipped up a sketch. “At each subsequent appointment the dress evolved from a sketch into the gown I had imagined.” Michelle was able to choose her fabric for her dress. She chose a beautiful matte white silk with spandex stretch that draped gracefully while remaining full at the skirt.

Michelle opted for a fit and flare silhouette styled in a two piece! Two piece wedding dresses are an emerging trend and we were very excited to work on this one with Michelle. She wanted a minimalistic and modern look, with little to no embellishments, aside from buttons down the back of her cropped top.

For Michelle’s veil, Priscilla used lace from the wedding dress Michelle’s mother wore. “The whole process was really special and the final product was perfect.”
Thank you, Michelle! We are so happy to have helped you feel extra comfortable on your wedding day with a dress that reflected you and your modern style! Best of luck and congratulations to you and your husband!
