With spring finally here, we have noticed an abundance of bridal trends for the season! We admire all of the trends at Priscilla Costa Bridal and we have incorporated many of them into our custom made wedding dresses. With the bevy of options, we narrowed down our top five favorite bridal trends for Spring 2016:
Cutouts
Exposure has reached new levels with tasteful cutouts. Adding a cutout to a wedding dress can show just the right amount of skin for a bride. Cutouts of all shapes and sizes add a fun aspect to a wedding dress. Popular cutouts have been seen on the back, shoulders, sides, bottom, and front of dresses. Elaborate and simple versions of the trend can be done as brides can opt to have lace or sheer fabric over the cutout for less exposure. For brides who feel like they’d like a little peak-a-boo of skin, we believe the cutout trend is the one for you!
Sheer Fabric
Sheer fabric adds the right amount of romance, femininity, and softness to any wedding dress. The mesmerizing fabric adds optical illusions to any neckline or bodice. We love overlaying the fabric on other materials to create texture and add even to show a little skin. For brides who want romantic details that reveal a little skin, sheer fabric is the trend for you.
Crop Tops
The cool and fun trend this spring season is crop tops! The risk-taking style is a modern twist that shows just the right amount of skin. Best part about this trend is brides can wear pieces of their dress again with different skirts or pants. Lots of brides incorporate their cropped tops in an outfit for their bachelorette party, bridal shower, or other pre-wedding events. The crop top trend is definitely for brides who want to get good use out of their dress.
Colored Dresses
Who says all brides have to wear white? This season we love an abundance of colors for brides as blush, champagne, black, and gold are some of our favorites. With rose quartz and serenity blue being the colors of the season, we love how the unique colors add a feminine touch to any wedding dress. This color trend is for the non-traditional bride who doesn’t feel the need to wear white on her big day.
Layers of Lace
Lace and embroidery have always been popular when it comes to wedding dresses but this season layers of lace is the new thing. Embroidered, beaded, and simple lace layers add intricate details and 3-D texture to a dress whether it be on the bodice, skirt, or neckline. This trend is for a bride who wants an eye-catching gown with an abundance of details.
