What We Are Pinning: 2016 Spring Haute Couture

This week’s pins were devoted to collect our favorites looks from the 2016 Spring Haute Couture show in Paris. The show started on January 24th and ended on January 28th. Throughout the week, we were excited and inspired to see all the astonishing looks the designers created. We have been pinning away all our favorite looks that can inspire our brides.

As the 2016 Spring Haute Couture comes to an end, we can’t help but be inspired by the common trend of fusion. The combinations of soft and defined laces, masculine and feminine details and innovative fabrics has us excited to incorporate those trends into our bridal gowns. Here are some of our favorites.

Sheer to Mixed Laces

We love the idea of different laces coming together to make one effortless piece. Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad not only kept the idea of lace being soft and feminine but also brought a new idea of lace being like a second skin. The designers perfectly showed how lace and sheerness can be  subtle yet playful.

Bold Necklines

The bold neck line is nothing new to the runway but Valentino updates the plunge neckline by adding cowl and asymmetry. With the newer additions, it creates a sleek yet elegant look.

Menswear Inspired

Zuhair Murad incorporates masculine and feminine details beautifully. He perfectly romanticizes the pantsuits.

Innovative Materials

These dresses from Armani Privé’s collection grabbed our attention immediately. We love the concept of fabric playing with light.
